David Austin's Blog
Director's Blog In my last Blog, I mentioned that I would discuss actions we have underway to better support those who come to the site. As I have been praying on how to communicate this effectively it became apparent to me that a priority in spiritual discipline of prayer is really how we all might be more effective for the Lord in 2009. I am reminded that the apostles said...
"that the priority in their lives was to be devoted to the ministry of the Word and to prayer". Acts 6:4
and in Prov 15:29 it says:
“The Lord .... hears the prayer of the righteous.”Paul requested prayer for his ministry in Col 4:2-4 and 2Thess 3:1
“ Be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. At the same time pray for us too, that God may open a door for the message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may make it known as I should.” Col 4:2-4
Finally, pray for us, brothers and sisters, that the Lord's message may spread quickly and be honored as in fact it was among you, 2Thess 3:1Paul also tells us Col 4:5-6 that we should
“Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunities. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone.” Col 4:5-6These are good reminders for all of us as we approach each day’s task.
