We have just posted a story on CNN about the route of Jesus from Pilate's tiral to the cross. It is a reminder of the key events that are a part of the reflection of the Easter season. So we wish all of you a Happy Resurrection Day weekend. As for the dispute over the proper route, this is one Easter Jesus report that may well be true. We just completed filming of an eight part TV series on Jesus for Day of Discovery (see www.dod.org for live streaming of these shows). We filmed the Pilate trial scene not at the Antonia, but from the Citadel, which is on the route noted in the article and is associated with the locale of Herod, with whom Pilate may well have stayed on his visit to Jerusalem for Passover, although Gibson, the archaeologist, has a distinct place for Pilate's trial. Everyone has to piece together this locale as it is not identified clearly in the text.

There is absolutely nothing, I mean nothing cooler on this planet, than probing, studying, thinking about and speculating about the archaeology of Jesus our Savior. And take it from me, I know coolness. I particularly love the long and complicated history of the sites of the crucifixion and burial. I can't get enough of those stories! The Roman "cover up," Constantine's Mom's passion, church after church, the moving of the rocks, etc. A great study! Looking forward to seeing your DOD (Day of Discovery not Dept. of Defense) study! Keep smiling!! He is Risen!
