Biography

Christy currently serves as the Pre-Residency Director at Memphis Teacher Residency. The purpose of MTR is to provide a gospel-driven response to the greatest social justice and civil rights issue in the United States today, urban education, through a strategy known as Christian Community Education. MTR accomplishes this by recruiting, training, and supporting excellent teachers in a Christian context for urban classrooms. Prior to moving to Memphis, Christy served as the Minister of Local Outreach and Assistant Minister to Singles at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, Texas. She is a graduate of Rhodes College and Dallas Theological Seminary.
