Biography: Melanie Newton is an “everyday” kind of woman who has served her “ever faithful” God in whatever sphere He has placed her—family, church, homeschooling, MOPS. As a Louisiana girl who became Jesus’ disciple in college when introduced to His Word, her ministry passion since is to teach and lead others to an authentic, joyful relationship with Jesus Christ for themselves. Living joyfully is in her blood. As a speaker/writer, she loves to learn from God’s Word for herself then communicate God’s truth to others to make them think, especially concerning their identity in Christ and how to approach life His way. Through her 20-year involvement as a leader in women’s ministry at Crossroads Bible Church, Melanie has written many Bible study guides (available on Bible.org and her website) and presented insightful messages to large groups of women. Melanie’s also recruited, trained, and coached other women to become speakers, small group leaders, and disciplemakers of their own. She loves mentoring mothers of young children as they minister to their peers. Melanie is happily married to Ron, mother to Jennifer, John and Heather, and a connoisseur of boiled crawfish.
