Sleeper Agent, Bad Luck or is the Devil at Work.

We need your prayers as we have had strange things happen the past three weeks. 1- Checks from our donors were returned by the post office even though they were addressed properly and our web site hosting provider lost power which impacted our new beta NET Bible study environment. (it is still crippled as I write this) I am reminded of the verse in 1 Peter 5:8 warning us to stay alert as  the enemy is seeking to devour us. …..

As I reflect on the events of this week, our nation experienced the loss of 6 fine young men in Afghanistan by the hand of one who had infiltrated their midst, ate their food, laughed and worked alongside them and yet in the end he was a “sleeper agent” sent in by Al Qaeda to do one thing: get the soldiers to trust him, and then when they least expected it he revealed his true identity in a place where he could kill. A second scenario is being played out in the Dallas News these past 2 days regarding the 2nd largest TV broadcasting network, Daystar TV. Once again a Christian was not alert and allowed the lusts of the flesh to take over and the enemy had a “sleeper agent” planted and is now in the process of seeking to destroy.  And so it is with us here at bible.org. This week we have experienced incredible victory with the end of the celebration fund raiser and $804,520 raised. But, just as the report was being delivered…the enemy chose his source of attack and laughed all the way to hell and back having torn off his disguise as a “lion”.  But, in this is a lesson to be learned:  Peter says we are to be “on guard” and Paul tells us to train ahead of time.  Yes we will have those “sleeper agents” prowling about like a lion seeking whom he can devour. Last night in our sleep the “false lion” , tore off his disguise and sought to take down our web ministry and undo the progress on the Beta study enviroment.        Is this his picture devilon the right? .

Satan tailors his attacks to fit each person). The first and foremost important offensive weapon we have is prayer as part of our battle training.Eph 6:18 With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints. The “donkey” principle taught by Peter and Paul: be alert and prepare ahead of time not in the midst of the battle for there will be “sleeper agents” prowling about in disguise seeking whom they can devour.

Will you join us in prayer today that the web site glitches that happened last night can be easily resolved? Our web hosting service brags that he has backup up power and generators that will automatically start so our web site will never go down. Well, the power went off and the backup power plans did not work and our beta NET Bible study environment was damaged and remains so today. May God direct the owner where our computer systems are hosted to easily find the problem and solve it in a timely fashion. Secondly, will you pray for the patience for Hampton and Brian,as they work to restore our beta NET Bible study environment and wisdom to find not only the errors but also wisdom to fix them so users around the world can use them for study.

    I am encouraged!

Sir, I do not wish you to think that I enjoy your misfortune, but I am encouraged by the fact that you guys with big bucks and big ministries are having the same problems as us nobodies, running our ministries on tiny budgets!

What I mean is, as the passage you quoted tells us: "resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world" (1 Peter 5:9).

Sir, when you are honest enough to share about your problems, I know I'm not alone. I suppose we are all "brother(s) and companion(s) in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ." (Revelation 1:9)

I am sure that God will work out all the problems soon for His glory, and trample all these "enemies" under His feet!
