The ALLS of Scripture

Women in ministry face quite a challenge, don’t we? We work, we study, we love, we sacrifice, and sometimes we pour out so much to others that we come to a point where God says this to us: "I have this against you, that you have left your first love" (Revelation 2:4).

When that happens, I realize that I have to get down on my knees and get back to the basics. I have to forget about everything else and refocus on my love relationship with the King of the Universe.

When that happens, I realize that I have to get down on my knees and get back to the basics. I have to forget about everything else and refocus on my love relationship with the King of the Universe.

My mother asked me one time, "I just love the ‘ALLS’ of Scripture, don’t you?" I had never thought about it, but she had an excellent point. Now, I cling to the ALLS of Scripture like never before. One of the most profound truths Jesus ever spoke was this: "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and ALL of these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). SEEK FIRST GOD’S KINGDOM. That’s the key!

Here’s another one. I have this verse posted at home and I read it every day. I can’t express how many times the promise of this verse has helped me get through a tough time: "And we know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28).

Today, my prayer is that you will experience ALL of the love, peace, joy, and refreshment and encouragement that the Lord has to offer you. Here is the blessing that I am praying over you today: "And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you, so that in ALL things at ALL times, having ALL that you need, you will abound in every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8).
