We were weeks ahead of this. CNN ran the Crucifixion story we blogged on a few weeks ago. The religion editor of Newsweek appears to be the source of running the story.

As we have said in the earlier posts, this work is not all it is hyped to be. The writer believes Jesus was executed in a torturous death. What he is debating is the shape of the cross and the details of how Jesus was hung in public to die. Was it a classic little T in shape, more like a capital T, or more like a single beam like the letter I? I have not read the work yet, so I am gleaning this from what has been written about it. But debate over the shape of the cross is not new news.
