Save the Date, March 3 History Channel

I am just back from a pre-screening of a ten part series on the Bible that will air across five weeks on the History Channel starting March 3. The series is produced by Mark Burnett and Roman Downey. They have done shows like The Survivor and Touched by an Angel. It was fun to visit with them today at thre screening.

They are married to each other and have wanted to do this a long time. He is from London and she is from Derry, Ireland. They are now Americans and wonderful believers who have worked on this project for well over 3 years. It will involve scenes from Genesis through Revelation. To get through the story, they have in spots combined or juxtaposed events, but the overall effect is a powerful presentation of the core story of the Bible. I was advised of the project over a year ago while on Sabbatical at a Conference in England. They have kept me posted of its progress as they filmed.

It is nice to be able to recommend something that has both artistic and spiritual merit. So save the date. Sit back and watch the Bible come alive.

I’m really enjoying the design and layout of your site. It’s a very easy on
the eyes which makes it much more pleasant for me to come here and visit more often.
Did you hire out a designer to create your theme?
      Superb work!

That's great news. Thanks for sharing Darrell. Congrats on your involvement with the project. I will definitely put it on my calendar. I have watched their previous shows. I'm sure it will be another great film. Hopefully, I can get a copy of it so I can watch it all over again.
