On TV The John Ankerberg show – April 9

For those who want a sustained look at the issues tied to the tomb, the John Ankerberg show started airing last night. It will be four shows. The first is up and is available over the Net.

Then look for the broadcast of the last week. It is up now for the first week’s show. This works through the names on the ossuaries in detail. For friends who are interested in details it is a concise 23 minute presentation.

    John Ankerberg’s questionable veracity

Regarding your appearance on the John Ankerberg show, more power to you.

At the same time, though I realize we all have our blind spots, I find it very difficult even to approve, much less recommend, that Christians consider John Ankerberg a reliable source of Christian truth, at least not without severe critical evaluation of his gross antichrist bigotry, errors and lies, as much as he has been so clearly and manifestly ungodly in his persecution of creationists, as sadly were my former Trinity professors Gleason Archer & Walter Kaiser whom I once regarded highly as OT scholars until they, like Winer vs Granville Sharp, chose to use the force of their "scholarship" to overthrow the plain meaning of the Genesis text universally understood by the Church as teaching creationism until the 19th century Darwinian apostasy collapse where most stupidly imbibed a catastrophic lack of discernment that continues to this day as to how incompetent and gullible "scientists" really were and still are, exemplified in the Nazis & Soviets we've now aped, so very different from the exalted "priesthood" these asinine devil's spawn (John 8:44) have pretended to be for centuries.  It simply baffles me how those so Biblical in their monergistic soteriology embracing the position of the Church catholic for millennia until the 18th-19th century apostasies (e.g. Piper & Grudem) can be so foolish in their manifestly blind refusal to embrace the only clear creationist meaning of the actual text of Gensis also embraced by the Church catholic for millennia until the 18th-19th century apostasies.  The simple fact is that only the creationist hermeneutic is both self-consistent and consistent with the hermeneutic of the millennia-long Church catholic (see creation.com; ironically their Biblical cosmology is sadly betrayed by their heterodox synergistic soteriology, those of us BOTH monergistic in cosmology (i.e. vs the absurd "theological evolution" oxymoron) AND soteriology being a rare breed), no matter the pretenses of the others whose basis for acceptance is the modern depravity of worldly approval now controlling the "church" as seen in the gross lack of discernment of "seeker sensitive" "open theology" cultic groups like Willow Creek (e.g. heterodox Bill Hybels & Greg Boyd) that are practically devoid of a truly Biblical Gospel, exemplified by Hybels 1. asking nonbelievers what they wanted in a "church" and then 2. building it!  Thankfully God's idea of the true Gospel is a better, divinely effectual vs merely fleshly pleasing way!  God bless you.

    On Ankerberg and Creationism

Most of what you write here is ad hominem in my view and less than accurate. These issues are discussed among Christians because there is good reason to discuss them. Refutation by labels is not the best way to engage such topics.

    Creationism

I'm quite confused about the controversy of Creationism.  If God is in control of everything,  then what is the issue with the 24 hour period?  or the Big Bang Theory as Mr. Hugh Ross discusses.  Couldn't both have happened with God in control?

    Creationism

Yes, either is possible. The issue is how to put all of the elements together. What Scripture teaches? What the literary layout of Genesis indicates? What is the evidence of science?
