Kick Off To A Fantastic September

The month of September has arrived and fall is just around the corner. Excitement and energy fill the air as children embrace new activities, make new friends, learn new things, and move into a new classroom.  When I think of the month of September in Children’s Ministry, I think of these ten things.

The month of September has arrived and fall is just around the corner. Excitement and energy fill the air as children embrace new activities, make new friends, learn new things, and move into a new classroom.  When I think of the month of September in Children’s Ministry, I think of these ten things.

1. Approximately how many children will we have in each age group?

2. Do I have enough classrooms to accommodate the different age groups?

3. Are the classrooms ready for each new group of children?

4. Do I have enough teachers for each age group?

5. Do I have enough table and chairs in each classroom for the number of children in each class?

6. Are the classrooms decorated for a new year and a new group of children?

7. Have my new teachers taken the orientation/policy and procedure training?

8. Have I conducted a criminal history screening on all of my new teachers/volunteers?

9. Do all the teachers have their new curriculum and enough supplies?

10.Have I prayed for each and every teacher, child, and volunteer?

Are you ready for a new year in Children’s Ministry?  Do you have everything in place?

Have a great month!
