Keep responding – Oct 5

New reviews will be up soon. They will involve books by Meacham and Hynes. In the meantime, keep responding in the comments window. Interacting with each other there is also fine. For those asking who is saying such things about evangelicalism, just check the books I am noting as they come.

New reviews will be up soon. They will involve books by Meacham and Hynes. In the meantime, keep responding in the comments window. Interacting with each other there is also fine. For those asking who is saying such things about evangelicalism, just check the books I am noting as they come. They will cover the entire spectrum of views on evangelicalism and the public square. Think through what is being said in such works and pick a few to read. They are thought provoking. Thye are also why the issues of tone and content are both important. One other thought. Think how Paul spoke and challenged culture in Acts 17 actually engaging it versus when he spoke in house in Romans 1. Is there a lesson there?

    Prof. Bock,

Have you considered recommending books on various themes in the New Testament, such as books on the parable, the kingdom of God, Jesus’ birth, etc.?

I’m looking forward to your reviews of Monique El-Faizy’s God and Country (she has a fundamentalist background like Sheler), Welcome to the Homeland by NPR reporter Brian Mann, and Righteous by Lauren Sandler on evangelical youth.
