    Aesop’s Fable, “The Dog and the Bone,” is about a dog who was carrying a bone in its mouth over a bridge that saw its own reflection in the water below. However, the dog did not realize it was a reflection but instead thought it was another dog with a bone. Desiring this “other” dog’s bone, the dog opened its mouth to bark at this rival.
