    John the Baptist’s words in John 1:29 cause me to pause and wonder. Why would his simple words, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” seem so profound? Who was John the Baptist? What can I learn from this unique man that lived over 2000 years ago? These types of questions sent me on a search that revealed some life lessons for me.     Adjustments for Life

    I recently purchased some new eye glasses. Within the first hour of wearing the glasses, I knew the hinge on one side was loose. Because of traveling, it took about 2 weeks before I could go back to my optometrist to get the glasses adjusted. When I walked in, the associate asked what he could do for me. I replied, “I can see great and I love these new glasses, but they need to be adjusted.” He quickly said, “I can see how they are slipping on your nose.” I was surprised he said that because I had gotten so used to dealing with glasses over the years that slipped…

    Is Productivity on God’s Top Ten List?

    What is your greatest struggle as a woman? Would you name envy, anger, lust, selfishness, dishonesty, greed, or pride—things that God names as sins? Do you even think much about such attitudes? Or do you rank organization and efficiency as more important qualities to have? Does God put productivity as a top ten character trait?God doesn't speak much about organization and efficiency in his Word; his concerns focus on the heart and what grows out of it.
