Thankful

Several years ago our pastor gave a series of messages on the Names of God.  To this day, that particular series has been one of my favorites and has touched my heart and has deepened my relationship and understanding of who God is, His attributes, and His character.  As we go into this holiday season, I am reminded and thankful to Almighty God for…

He is Jehovah…God is my LORD.  To Him I am thankful.  (Exodus 3:10-15)

He is my Elohim…God is my Creator and ruler over all.  To Him I am thankful.  (Exodus 3:14-15; 12:12, Psalm 121:1-3)

He is my El Shaddai…God is Almighty and the Sufficient One.  To Him I am thankful.  (Genesis 17:1-8; Psalm 91:1-4)

He is my El Elyon…God is Most High.  To Him I am thankful.  (Psalm 9:1, Daniel 7:9)

He is my Jehovah Jireh…God is my Provider.  To Him I am thankful.  (Genesis 22:9-14, Psalm 91:2)

He is my Jehovah Nissi…God is my Banner and victorious over all.  To Him I am thankful.  (Exodus 17:8-16)

He is my Jehovah Shalom…God is my Peace.  To Him I am thankful.  (Judges 6:19-24)

He is my Jehovah Mekadesh…God is my Sanctification.  To Him I am thankful.  (Leviticus 20:1-8)

He is my Jehovah Rophe…God is my Healer.  To Him I am thankful.  (Exodus 15:22-27)

He is my Jehovah Rohi…God is my Shepherd.  To Him I am thankful.  (Psalm 23:1-6)

He is Jehovah Tsidkenu…God is my Righteousness.  To Him I am thankful.  (Jeremiah 23:1-6)

He is my Savior…God gave His Son for my Salvation.  (John 3:16)  To Him I am most thankful.

Let The Great I am, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, the source of all Truth, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and Savior, reveal His attributes and character to you this season.   Draw close to Him and He will draw close to you!

"O LORD, our Lord, how magnificent is your reputation throughout the earth!  You reveal your majesty in the heavens above!”  Psalm 8:1 NET

To God my LORD, I am Thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving!
