The Table Conference Review

Many thanks to the team at Dallas Theological Seminary for a successful inaugural Table Conference at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship in Carrollton, TX. The theme Presenting God to Those Who See Christianity Differently was centered around three questions commonly discussed in today's pluralistic society: Which Jesus? Which Bible? Which Christianity?

They had some very able speakers presenting content for those in attendance. Conference attendees ranged from the college age students to elder leaders in local churches. It was a joy to interact with folks regarding the topics discussed. These are current questions in the public square and within Christianity. There are answers to hard questions. Look hard for them. Also look for the DVDs of the conference in 4 weeks.

Another fun aspect of the conference was meeting folks at Camino Global. Their Hope Coffee booth was positioned next to the Bible.org set. Many conference goers enjoyed their coffee.

A surprising element of the conference were the folks who were introduced to the NET Bible and Bible.org's ministry for the first time. Others had heard of the NET Bible but had never seen the physical copy of the NET Bible. Many were delighted to hold a copy in their hands for the first time and decided to purchase a copy. The NET Bible is not available for online usage only.

If you've never seen or held a physical copy of the NET Bible in your hands with the 60,932 notes and the satellite maps to boot you really ought to. Take a look at this review by Kent Shaffer from Church Relevance. The photos do justice to the NET Bible's beauty and depth.
